"Creeping Death!"

Hey all you Metal heads, I know what your thinking METALLICA a Christian band? Yeah, believe it or not! Just look at these lyrics, they are straight out of the book of Exodus.

"Slaves
Hebrews born to serve, to the pharaoh
Heed
To his every word, live in fear
Faith
Of the unknown one, the deliverer
Wait
Something must be done, four hundred years

So let it be written
So let it be done
I'm sent here by the chosen one
So let it be written
So let it be done
To kill the first born pharaoh's son
I'm creeping death

Now
Let my people go, land of Goshen
Go
I will be with thee, bush of fire
Blood
Running red and strong down the Nile
Plague
Darkness three days long, hail to fire

So let it be written
So let it be done
I'm sent here by the chosen one
So let it be written
So let it be done
To kill the first born pharaoh's son
I'm creeping death

Die by my hand
I creep across the land
Killing first-born man
Die by my hand
I creep across the land
Killing first-born man

I
Rule the midnight air, the destroyer
Born
I shall soon be there, deadly mass
I
Creep the steps and floor, final darkness
Blood
Lambs blood painted door, I shall pass

So let it be written
So let it be done
I'm sent here by the chosen one
So let it be written
So let it be done
To kill the first born pharaoh's son
I'm creeping death"

[ "Creeping Death" METALLICA Lyrics on http://www.lyricsmania.com/ ]

The children of God (Israelites) were commanded by God to sacrifice a perfect lamb (no defects). Than to put it's blood on the posts around the door of their houses so that God would pass over them, but those that did not do this, allowed God to take the first born son of the household.

"And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it." [Exodus 12:7 KJV]

"And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt." [Exodus 12:13 KJV]

Creeping death was God going and fulfilling his promise. People say, What kind of God would kill little kids? I answer with a question. Why is death considered such a bad thing? These kids are now with God, where there is no pain or suffering. How bad can that be?

Much later, God would fulfill his greatest promise of all, which was sending his son, the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, to be sacrificed so that the sins of the world would be cleansed.

"And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."
[John 3:14-17] KJV]

Friend if you are reading this for the first time, you don't have to be afraid of death or anything to that matter. If you believe in Jesus Christ, you are covered in his blood, and that means when death comes, it will pass over you! Remember always, Jesus is Lord!

That is exactly my point! There is an incredible asortment of Christian music out there. Whether it's country, rap, metal, punk, or any music you like! Different music for different personalities. Music holds a special place in my heart and I enjoy most of it, doesn't matter what type.
