Get Saved Today!

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." [John 3:16 KJV]

I was just surfing the other night on the many traffic exchange programs to help spread my business and I came across this site here. "Get Saved Today.com" This is a whole site dedicated to help people find Jesus Christ! It teaches you a little prayer to say so that you can easily accept him into your heart! Than there are different ways listed on the site to help you keep in touch with Jesus. I just thought it was a cool site and wanted to share it with all of you!I added a link on the side of my blog there! It is underneath my subscription for this blog!

Hope FM (South Jersey Radio)

"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord." [Colossians 3:16 KJV]

Here is a link to their site: Hope FM Radio

Hope FM is the only radio station I listen to anymore. I love the music they play on there, and I love the preachers they have on there. All the preachers on there preach the Word very well. One of my favorites is Pastor Joe Domico.

On Hope FM, Joe does a program called,"In Your Faith" that comes on at 4:30 p.m. on weekdays. He is a pastor at Gateway Christian Church which is located in Woodbury New Jersey, which isn't too far from my house. I have actually visited there twice and enjoyed worshipping the Lord Jesus Christ with the people that go there. All the people there, are very nice and friendly. It is a nice little church they got there!

The other day, A friend of mine asked me, "How come you don't listen to the old music you use to like so much?" The reason is that "old" music doesn't do anything for me anymore. My eyes have opened, I am awake now! After feeling the Holy Spirit in my heart, it was the greatest feeling I ever had! So much Power, Love, and Energy flowing out of my heart! That is why I only want to listen to praise music, to give praise to the Lord Jesus Christ! The other music doesn't do nothing for me, besides I rather praise the Lord when I can. Why not listen to praise music? Everyday, can be Sunday!

Skype

Another cool free program I have been using, that my friend Larry told me about, was Skype. It is another communicating program, where you can chat with your friends or clients. I actually got it so I could communicate with clients easier. I would like it also if anyone who is reading this that needs to talk about anything, don't be afraid to contact me. My name on Skype is: thomas.slater001.

You can communicate using Skype, either by typing or speaking to them. It is truely amazing how good the sound quality is! You can also use it as a phone meaning you can call people's phone lines if they dont have a computer but you will have to pay for the call.

It seems like everyone around the world is using this program. "At the beginning of 2005, the download counter was around 75 million (the download number includes active customers downloading updates). At the beginning of August 2005, the counter showed more than 144 million downloads."
http://www.oreillynet.com/pub/a/network/2005/08/04/whatisSkype.html?page=1 I would imagine there would be alot more users now in 2008!

With this many people using the program you know this is a cool and easy program to use. It is very easy to install and register onto Skype. The only hard part would be creating a neat name especially with so many millions of people using it. I would recommend getting a headset so that you can communicate with your friends instead of always having to type your messages.

Pandora (Radio)

I want to tell you about this free program, my brother has told me about. It's a website where you can find any kind of music you could possibly imagine. Just by typing in the name of the band or the name of the song. Than it will search through it's huge database of music and it will find it. It's pretty amazing how fast it is, I mean whatever you are looking up, say a song, it will pop within seconds. Than it will automatically start playing and if it is not the band/song you were thinking of, Pandora will give you more choices. Once you choose a song or artist it will make a channel that will play only music sounding like that artist or song. Than you can rate the songs as whether you like it or not and it seems to learn what you like and dislike and eventually you will have a channel with just the music you like! You can have a bunch of channels. I am not sure really of how many channels you are allowed to have, but you can have atleast five. You can get a profile where you can add friends and share what kind of music you like with each other. Pandora also has alot of information on the bands, such as what they are about, where they came from, and their latest music even on music that you may of never heard of. I think this program is really cool and very easy to use, I would recommend it to anyone that is interested in music!

I like to use this while I am working online, doesn't feel like work when you are singing along to your favorite tunes!

The 700 Club and TBN

There is so much garbage on television! Filled with death, murders, fires, wars, lies, gossip, perversion, and chaos, the list goes on. So much negativity, no wonder people are so depressed now a days. You are being brain washed this way. All those negative things will eventually bring you down and swallow you up. If you want to watch something that will give you hope, motivation, strength, and pure joy than tune into the 700 Club! It is the flagship news talk show of the Christian Broadcasting Network, airing on cable's ABC Family and in syndication throughout the United States and Canada.! It one of my favorite shows !

"The show presents news stories from Robertson's religious and political perspective, often relating stories to passages from the Bible which are generally followed by commentary from the hosts. Celebrities and other guests are interviewed about religious views. The news segments frequently emphasize eschatology (apocalyptic).

The 700 Club strongly supports Israel, especially in its disagreements with the Palestinians and the U.N. Among its frequent Jewish guests are Michael Medved and Rabbi Daniel Lapin, who share its conservative Judeo-Christian beliefs."

700 Club Wikipedia

The overall message of the 700 Club, and TBN is that Jesus Christ is Lord, the lamb of God, that takes away the sins of the world! All you have to do is accept him in your heart, mind and soul, and follow his commandments to the best of your ability and you shall have eternal life!

B.I.B.L.E.

"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path."
[Psalm 119:105]

Bible, the English form of the Greek name Biblia, meaning "books". But to me it has more meaning than that. To me B.I.B.L.E. means Basic Instructions Before Life Eternal. To me the B.I.B.L.E. is the living word of God! Here to teach us valuable lessons in life, to help us avoid unneeded stress and pain.

"It may surprise you to hear that the Bible has a deeper meaning in the words it uses and the stories it tells. This deeper meaning does not predict the future by some mysterious code; it is about you as you are on the inside. Once you see this, the Bible becomes an extraordinary tool for personal discovery, something very different from the Bible you may have struggled with and given up on. Learning about this deeper and more spiritual meaning may reawaken your interest. If you have never been interested in God or religion, or feel turned off by them, you may appreciate a chance to look again in the light of this new way of seeing the Bible.

Here is a simple example for you. Many battles are mentioned in the Bible. We have battles inside us, conflicts between our selfishness and our desire to love other people. The Bible says that the people always won their battles when they obeyed God. 'God' means the highest truth we can know. When we choose to go with this truth instead of our ego, we will always win our battle. The strategies for success are there in the details of each Biblical battle plan.

People who study dreams tell us that everything in the dream is about something inside us. If you dream about your dog, it is not really your dog but something dog-like; devotion perhaps. The Bible works in the same way. Whenever it mentions a tree, it is talking about a noble idea that is growing in your mind, deeply rooted, reaching higher, branching, and bearing fruit. Little wonder that the Garden of Eden, the symbolic first "place", had the Tree of Life at its centre. This is a graphic picture of the human mind, of consciousness, as it is meant to be.

Every single thing in the Bible has its own rich symbolic meaning, which helps us to understand our spiritual life. 'Mountains' stand for higher levels of awareness. 'Wells of water' describe our capacity to draw up or draw on true ideas from deep in our mind, to have access to truth that refreshes and cleanses us, as water does. Coins, those small bright shiny objects that are valuable and can be invested, stand for insights in our mind that can be put to good use, and earn interest because they have real worth.

Notice how the deeper meaning is always related to the qualities or use of the object. This is the link between physical and spiritual levels, between things 'out-there' and 'in-here'. Once you see this, you can explore the symbolism yourself. Try this one: the Bible often mentions pearls, and finding the pearl of great price. Think of the many qualities of pearls, including how they are formed. Ask yourself, what is it within me that is like a pearl? How did it form? What gives it its value?

A good technique is to read a verse in the Bible and after every noun add the words in me". So for example you may have 'the king-in-me', 'the rock-in-me', 'the poverty-in-me', and yes, even 'the God-in-me'. This method may seem strange at first but it will help you to see that, for example, there is something king-like in you, some ruling principle which guides your thinking: hopefully it is a good king and not a tyrant."

"Life of Thomas"

My friends and family always told me I should write a book about my life. Saying that I was an inspration to them because of everything I have been through and still dealing with. So I asked God should I write this book? Praying and asking if it was the right thing for me to do. It took me awhile to get the answer.

I went to church with my mother for years and I can't ever say I really felt God's presence or atleast never like this! Not too long ago I was reading, "The Purpose Driven Life", the author Rick Warren really helps explain the Bible and cleared many things up for me. I remember, asking the Lord to fill me with Holy Spirit. It was really early, like 2 in the morning and that is when it happened! I got my answer! Wow, did he ever fill me with his spirit! This is the best way I can explain it. It felt like my heart was going to explode! I had so much emotion flowing through me, love and excitement pouring out of my heart! It was the greatest feeling I have ever felt! I couldn't sleep so I started writing ideas down for this blog/book. After that I have dedicated my life to Jesus Christ and trying to spread the gospel where ever I go.

I now try to read a chapter from the Bible every day. If I don't read, I don't feel right!I will never forget! No one can ever take away this feeling I have for God right now! My heart is on fire for Christ!

The Cute Kid Contest

My brother Dan and his wife Jen have one of the cutest kids. Her name is Jenna. As her uncle and God parent, I thought it would be cool if I entered her into this Contest as a gift to her. She has such a great smile!I believe she can really win this thing! That 25,000 college tuition fund would be such a great gift for her! Here are two pictures of her, don't be afraid to leave a comment of what you think!

The Way of the Master

"Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground." (Luke 22:42-44)

I know there are some days that I feel beat done and worn out from all that I have been through. Sometimes the Lord calls upon me to do things, that pushes me to do things that will make me feel uncomfortable, such as sharing my personal life with you. Than I remember if I can touch someone's heart by giving them hope and motivation to keep fighting than I feel that I have accomplished my goal!

This Bible passage helps me put my mind, heart, and soul in the right place. Who am I to feel tired and discouraged, where it's a miracle that I am still on this earth. You always have to look at the bright side of life, don't focus on the negative things they will devour you if you let them. Be thankful for what you do have! Who am I to question what God wants me to do?

When Jesus was praying this prayer to his Father, I can imagine that he was feeling very beat down and discouraged. He was actually sweating blood from all the pain he was going through! This was all before the excruciating pain he was going to recieve from the Romans to cleanse the sins of this world for all. To say that this made Jesus feel uncomfortable is an understatement! He went through more pain than most people could bare to think about!

It is good to know that our Lord Jesus, the redeemer of the world understands how we may feel about certain hardships that we may be dealing with in our lives. He will always help us and comfort us if we are willing to ask for it. Remember, he will never give us more than we can handle!

Been Busy

I apologize for not writing on here regularly but I have been crazy busy. I have started this Business online and it takes alot of time. Not only that but it's hard to fit in God, family, friends, and the all the things I like to do in one day!

Actually right now I am in Springfield, Virginia visiting my sister in law, Olivia. My brother, her husband, David, is over seas fighting for our freedoms. I am very proud of him for all that he sacrifices so that you and I can live free. Springfield is not very far from Washington D.C. so I got to visit the capital of our great nation. It is a beautiful city, little creepy how well it was put together, like how all the monuments line up. I got to see the World War II Memorial, for the first time. The first time I went to Washington D.C. was in 1997 with a class trip and it was not built yet. Which I think is a shame because I feel that Memorial should have been built a long time before April of 2004. I mean these soldiers only saved the world from the Axis powers!

"In a sunken plaza, surrounded in a circular pattern with 56 pillars (each 17-feet-high) which represent the unity of the U.S. states and territories during the war. Visitors would enter the sunken plaza on ramps which will pass by two giant arches (each 41-feet tall) that represent the two fronts of the war. Inside, there would be a Freedom Wall covered with 4,000 gold stars, each representing 100 Americans that died during World War II. A sculpture by Ray Kasky would be placed in the middle of the Rainbow Pool and two fountains would send water more than 30-feet into the air."

"The memorial honors the 16 million who served in the armed forces of the U.S. during World War II, the more than 400,000 who died, and the millions who supported the war effort from home. Symbolic of the defining event of the 20th Century, the memorial is a monument to the spirit, sacrifice, and commitment of the American people to the common defense of the nation and to the broader causes of peace and freedom from tyranny throughout the world. It will inspire future generations of Americans, deepening their appreciation of what the World War II generation accomplished in securing freedom and democracy. Above all, the memorial stands as an important symbol of American national unity, a timeless reminder of the moral strength and awesome power that can flow when a free people are at once united and bonded together in a common and just cause."

I am glad they did finally build it for all those that gave their lives for a greater cause. It is a very beautiful and peaceful memorial. I enjoyed it immensely!

Anyways back to the business I have started which is taking alot of my time. I really don't have that much money to work with so I am doing every thing manually like using different traffic exchanges to get my sales page out there on the web. I have also been using different credit safelists to get my salespage out there. You know the expression, "Time is Money." well it's true! I am promoting this organization called Success University which is an awesome self help site! You can read about this stuff on my other blog which better explains what I have been doing.

It is on the side there titled, "Dream Big Dreams".

Chemo and Radiation (The Early Years Part 2)

Back in Children’s Hospital, Dr. August brought up the idea of a Bone marrow transplant. My parents were confused and wanted to know what this was, they never heard about it before. A bone marrow transpant is the infusion of bone marrow in to a patient who has been treated with high dose chemotherapy or radiotherapy. Patients can use their own marrow, which has sometimes been frozen or marrow from a donor.[http://www.ecancermedia.com/Dictionary.aspx?Letter=B]

The reason they had not heard about it was because this was only an option if the patient was doing well enough to actually get through the procedure, it is very difficult on the body. It wouldn’t be an option if I wasn’t. The plan was for me to be a self donor.

Chemo and radiation would kill everything for a week. Total body radiation and Doxorubicin, (trade name Adriamycin) which is a drug widely used in cancer chemotherapy. It is an anthracycline antibiotic and structurally closely related to daunomycin, and also intercalates DNA. It is commonly used in the treatment of a wide range of cancers. The drug is administered by injection. The main benefits of this form are a reduction in cardiotoxicity. It is photosensitive and it is often covered by an aluminum bag to prevent light from affecting it.[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doxorubicin]

Another medicine that was used was called Cisplatin. It is a platinum-based chemotherapy drug used to treat various types of cancers, including sarcomas, some carcinomas, (small cell lung cancer, and ovarian cancer) lymphomas and germ cell tumors. It was the first member of its class, which now also includes carboplatin and oxaliplatin. Platinum complexes are formed in cells, which bind and cause cross-linking of DNA-- ultimately triggering apoptosis, or automated cell death. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cisplatin]The radiation and chemotherapy really tore me up! It seemed like it killed everything.

There was another little boy who was going through the same stuff I was going through. His name was Robert, he was doing very well with the treatments. He was kind of my parents and my hero. If he could do it, so could I!

When they started the medication and radiation treatments, they would put you in total isolation. They would put you in a sterile room, all by yourself. You could have visitors but they had to wear paper suits and masks. This was to keep germs from entering the room. Germs cannot live on paper.

Back in the eighties there were smoking rooms in the hospitals. This is where a lot of the parents of the patients would converse, kind of hard to imagine nowadays, everyone is so health cautious. Anyways my dad told me a story about one of the times he was in the smoking room. He said there was a woman crying in a corner she was sad her child was diagnosed with diabetes. Another woman in there told her maybe she should go someplace else. This wasn’t the nicest thing she could of said, but I guess she felt those that were in that room were dealing with something a little more serious than what she was crying about. This was where all the families of the cancer patients hung out.

After the isolation treatments were over they would hold like six patients in room to watch over them. All these people in one room, plus the nurses and doctors always coming in an out made it hard to sleep. The hospital is one hard place to get some sleep.

After all that my hero Robert defeated the cancer too! Than all of sudden he got really sick and ended up passing away. It turned out he had HIV/AIDS which took his life. This was one of the first times my parents or I have ever heard of this virus.

It turned out I was the first kid to be an athlete. I played Pee-Wee Soccer which made my parents and my doctors very proud. They said I was the first kid to ever become an athlete who survived Neuroblastoma.

Fast forward to today, The side affects I have received from the chemotheropy and radation are hearing loss, weak roots in my gums, cataracts, heart failure, kidney failure, gout, diabetes, and weak veins. About 2 years ago my kidneys have failed completely, so I decided to go on Peritoneal dialysis. I would use hemo-dialysis as a last resort, because of my small veins. I did use it for a short time when they found cancer in my stomach last year but that is another story for another time.

Praise the Lord! I was able to get through all that! The Lord blessed me with the strength and fortitude to keep on fighting! Praise the Almighty Jehovah! With out you, Christ Jesus I am nothing...
